Social Action Project Funded by National Citizen Service

We are thrilled to share the inspiring efforts of our dedicated students who participated in this year’s social action project, funded by the National Citizen Service (NCS) and delivered by Children North East. Their passion and commitment to making a difference have truly shone through in their outstanding initiative.

This year, our students took the reins and organised a vibrant event to support the charity Wellbeing of Women. Their mission was to raise awareness and funds for the crucial work this charity does in promoting the health and wellbeing of women and babies. With creativity and enthusiasm, they invited the entire school community to join in wearing pink and purple for a day, creating a colorful show of support and unity.

In addition, our enterprising students showcased their artistic talents by designing and selling beautiful handmade badges, bracelets, and stamps. Each item was crafted with care and sold with the spirit of generosity, contributing to the fundraising efforts.

We are proud to announce that through their hard work and dedication, our students raised a commendable total of just over ยฃ100 for Wellbeing of Women. This achievement reflects their commitment to social responsibility and their ability to mobilise and inspire our school community.

Please join us in congratulating the following students for their exceptional efforts and leadership in this project: Elizabeth Addison, Sienna Bailey, Krissy Forster, Lydia Dillon, Jacey Gibson, Toby Grady, Manaal Kashif, Florence McGinnety, Connor Powell and Yihan Zhen.

Their initiative, creativity, and dedication have set a wonderful example for us all. Thank you to everyone who participated, from wearing pink and purple to purchasing handmade items, and supporting this meaningful cause.

As we celebrate this success, we are reminded of the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together. We look forward to more student-led initiatives, particularly with NCS and Children North East, that continue to foster a spirit of giving and social awareness.
