Teesside University’s Go Viral Competition

During the summer term Teesside University’s ‘Go Viral’ competition challenged our business students to create short-form videos promoting a product or service of their choice. Participants developed brand names, logos, and slogans, applying their creative skills to the task.

Two of our students, Jamie Moor and Yves Tinnion, excelled in this competition, winning top prizes of 9th generation iPads for their outstanding entries. As part of their win, they also created “unboxing” videos, further showcasing their digital marketing abilities.

The contest provided students with a practical opportunity to apply marketing concepts in a real-world context. It encouraged them to think creatively about branding and digital promotion, skills that are increasingly valuable in today’s market.

This achievement highlights not only the talents of our winning students but also the effectiveness of engaging with contemporary marketing challenges. The ‘Go Viral’ competition offered a unique platform for students to put their classroom knowledge into practice.

We congratulate our two winners on their success in this innovative and competitive event.
