Over sixty A-level business students were given a unique opportunity to broaden their understanding of the world of business and higher education during an insightful visit to Teesside Universityโs prestigious International Business School. Students participated in a one day event which enabled them to look into university life and give them a chance to learn from leading academics.
The first workshop explored the crucial role of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in today’s economy and their increasing adoption of Artificial Intelligence. Students learned how AI is revolutionizing business operations and decision-making processes in smaller firms, preparing them for the tech-driven future of entrepreneurship.
The second workshop delved into business idea generation and value proposition development. Students participated in practical exercises designed to stimulate creative problem-solving and market analysis skills. They learned techniques for identifying potential business opportunities and effectively communicating the core benefits of their ideas to target audiences, including customers and potential investors.
The workshops complemented the A-level business curriculum, covering topics currently being studied in the classroom. This allowed students to reinforce their understanding of key concepts while learning in a new environment. Additionally, the visit encouraged students to consider their future academic and career paths in the business world.
